A Sustainable Approach

Lil Boop Boop is proud to be a Conservation Circle Partner of Rainforest Trust, one of the world’s most effective conservation charities. Lil Boop Boop is donating to Rainforest Trust’s Conservation Action Fund, a fund used to support and protect endangered species, threatened rainforests and other tropical ecosystems around the world. Our donations are helping safeguard 1200 acres of rainforest!

Rainforests are one of the most important natural resources on Earth, and affect the daily lives of everyone on our planet. They safely store billions of tons of carbon, helping to mitigate climate change, stabilize global weather patterns, clean water, and are even a source for modern medicines. Rainforests are also home to 50% of the world’s species, many of which are critically endangered. Thousands of indigenous communities rely on these forests for their food, water and economic prosperity. In short, rainforests help to sustain life on this planet, and their long-term protection is absolutely vital for our survival.

Rainforest Trust ensures the protection of these vital ecosystems through partnerships with local communities and trusted in-country partner NGOs. The charity has already saved over 20 million acres of rainforest and other tropical ecosystems, and aims to place 50 million acres under permanent protection by the end of 2020. What's in our Fabric?

Our product contains Lenzing AG's TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers.

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers have gained the reputation for their environmentally responsible, closed loop production process, which transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibers with high resource efficiency and low ecological impact. This solvent-spinning process recycles process water and reuses the solvent at a recovery rate of more than 99%. This economically viable manufacturing process received the European Award for the Environment from the European Commission in the category “The Technology Award for Sustainable Development”.

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers have been certified as Bio-based by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Moreover, all Lenzing fiber production sites operate according to a certified Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety system (ISO14001, OHSAS 18001).

Additionally, TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are derived from sustainable wood sources, harvested from certified and controlled sources following the stringent guidelines of the Lenzing Wood and Pulp Policy. These fibers are also available with FSC®(C041246) or PEFCTM certification upon request. Moreover, wood and pulp used by the Lenzing Group comes from sustainably managed forests. TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers have earned United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) BioPreferred® designation.
